Privacy & Confidentiality Policy

We treat all client visits and conditions as confidential. We believe that every client has the right to privacy and confidentiality. Therefore the conversation that you have with the therapist about your personal health history will remain in confidence at all times.Prior to your first appointment, you will be required to complete a confidential health history form. This form must be updated once a year or any time there are significant changes to your health history (ex. surgery, major illness). The information in your file can only be released with your consent or as required by law. In order to best serve you, I may discuss your case with the other healthcare providers involved in your care.

Booking & Scheduling policy

In order to help ensure that you obtain your desired appointments, we recommend scheduling your appointment as far in advance as possible to ensure availability. You can schedule an appointment by booking via contacting us personally via telephone or you can book your appointment online through our website. To accommodate your desired appointment Gift Certificates may also be used in lieu instead of online booking to hold your appointment. *Please also notify us of any allergies or sensitivities to aromas or ingredients upon scheduling your appointment.

Late arrival policy

All treatment sessions have a specific time schedule. If however late arrival is inevitable we understand. However your service may be shortened in order to keep on schedule with other appointments with other clients. Extension may only be able to be accommodated if our schedule will allow and in those circumstances only will we perhaps be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment at our discretion. And only with proper, advanced notification of your late arrival being communicated. Also based upon the time of your arrival, whether we were able to extend accommodation to your time or not, you will still be responsible for the payment of the full treatment session. If however you are not present for your scheduled session during the first 15 minutes (unless having telephoned us you might be late), it will be construed by us that you are a “no-show”.

Mobile / home visit policy

The therapist (I) will arrive 25 minutes before the scheduled treatment time so as to complete a client health history intake form (new clients) and to set up for your treatment so that we can begin at the scheduled appointment time. I the therapist reserve the right to cancel treatment and LEAVE your premises immediately if there is any form of sexual harassment or implication. And a report would be made to the police and based on the incident it will determine if legal action would be taken. All house call/ home visits to clients require a 50% deposit (account details would be given) to be made before the carded appointment date of your scheduled treatment. And the next 50% to be paid after the completion of the treatment on the scheduled day.

Redeeming gift certificate policy

You are kindly advised to please redeem your gift certificates before the expiration date, since once it expires it would no longer be redeemable. Thank you for you corporation.

Refusal of Service

For safety purposes, I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time. Reasons may include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • intoxication
  • derogatory or bigoted comments
  • sexual or romantic advances
  • illness or infectious conditions
  • contagious or unidentified skin conditions (ex. rashes, warts, mysterious bug bites)
  • refusal or inability to wear a mask 

If you develop a skin condition, please clear it with your doctor before receiving massage. If you exhibit any of the aforementioned conditions or behaviours, you’ll be denied treatment and charged for the appointment.

Cancellation Policy, No Show & Fees

Hey, I get it. Life happens.

We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. Business meetings, project deadlines, delays, car problems and illness are just a few of the reasons why one might consider canceling an appointment. In our desire to be effective and fair to all of our clients, and out of consideration for our therapists and everyone’s time, we have adopted the following policies:

I have a 48-hour cancellation policy. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please kindly notify us at least 48 hours in advance to cancel your appointment. When you book an appointment, that time is reserved exclusively for you, and missed appointments prevent us from accommodating other clients. As such if you miss your scheduled appointment (no show), or cancellation of your appointment is done on  the same day or in less than 48 hours,  you will be subject to a cancellation fee of 90% of the cost of the treatment booked and to be paid before your next appointment via online transfer/ deposit. We recognize the time of our clients and therapist is valuable and as such have implemented this policy for this reason. When you miss an appointment with us, the potential of other clients who may  have wanted to schedule an appointment for that same day and time is also loss.  

The exception: In circumstances such as sudden severe contiguous illness, hospitalization, abduction, hurricane/ weather warnings or accident. 

Think of your appointment like a concert ticket. If you can’t make it, what would you do? You may either send a friend in your place or you absorb the cost. Appointments are similar to this. They are no different. 

It’s not a punishment; it’s just the valuing of both of our time. The good news? is I also honour my policy in reverse as well! There are times when appointments need to be rescheduled on the practitioners’ behalf due to the above-listed circumstances as well. But if any rescheduling needs to be done ample notice of 48 hours or more would be given in advance. If I ever cancel on you on short notice, your next massage is free. My relationship with my clients is built on a foundation of mutual trust and respect.

Refund policy

Based on the nature of our work being service based there would be NO refund available on services rendered or completed. However if there is a need to do so, it would be at our sole discrestion.

Personal & Professional Boundaries Policy

I will refrain from and prevent behaviors that may be considered sexual in my massage practice and uphold the highest professional standards in order to de-sexualize massage. I do not date clients, engage in any sexual acts with a client, or allow any level of sexual inappropriate (behavior or language) from clients nor do I allow any form of verbal abuse or obscene language to be spoken or directed to me. Any form of sexual impropriety may lead to sexual harassment charges, lawsuits for personal damages, criminal charges, fines, attorney's fees, court costs, and jail time.
