4 Ways To Reduce Knee Pain

So today we are going to be talking about 4 ways to reduce knee pain. In fact knee pain is the single greatest cause of chronic disability among adults age 50 and over. While some of us may choose to use pain killers to ease the pain. Pain Killers temporarily does the trick or help. They can cause larger problems for our system in the long run. But hears the good news most chronic knee pain is avoidable. The knee is the largest joint in the body. The upper and lower bones of the knee are separated by two discs (menisci). The upper leg bone (the femur) and the lower leg bone (tibia and fibula) are connected by ligaments, tendons and muscles. The surface of the bone inside the knee joint is covered by articular cartilage which absorbs shock and provides a smooth gliding surface for joint movement.

Getting a massage can help with knee pain as an alternative medicine remedy. Massage therapy really helps to lengthen and relax muscles, tendons and ligaments removing the adhesions in the tissues. Everyone has adhesions but it is when muscles become restricted causing pain that’s when it becomes a problem. So getting a massage and doing corrective exercise will help to restore balance to your muscles that are tight, increase blood flow, improve range of motion and help alleviate your knee pain

2. Regular Stretching

Doing regular stretches or making stretching a part of your daily lifestyle can actually help you with knee pain. Doing 10-15 minutes of stretching can work wonders for your knees. For example simple calve stretches, hamstring and hip stretches are excellent. Stretching helps with flexibility thus causing muscles to be less restricted and more moveable. Lemons are one of the most alkalizing foods and drinking lemon juice will help the body eliminate the accumulation of acid, which almost always contributes to the onset of joint pain and arthritis as well as many other health issues, including heart disease and diabetes etc. Unfortunately, most people think that if a food is acid, then it will cause the body to become acidic. But this is not true. A lemon, for example, contains citric acid and when drunk it metabolizes the body, leaving an alkaline residue.
